Mar 2025 - Next Evolution

The area was previously known for having a very stable, very sustainable ecosystem. Things began to change very quickly. Investigators were sent in, followed by exterminators.

They had no idea how quickly it worked. How efficiently it hunted. They couldn't outmanouvre it, nor keep it in their sights for too long. At ever turn, it outwitted them. Whatever they were facing, it was advanced beyond believe. And it was hungry.

Four became one. And one become none. All would become a part of it.

It would seem that the ecosystem was no match for its appetite.

And it was far from sated.

Feb 2025 - Etiquette (Public Release)

Monica awoke in the late afternoon to an empty stomach, and a newly padded pair of hips. A short belch sent a discarded bandanna cascading out from her mouth, and tumbling across the bedsheets next to her.

"Day one of seven." She said. "I think I'll start with a light breakfast before I read for an hour, and then I think I will start the day with a swim. What do you think, darling?"

She had become proficient at doing this with people. Accommodating for them. So much so that she could talk to them even when they were indisposed in this manner.

Sharkbait's voice came out as a series of confused, delirious grunts. Monica gave her newly padded hindquarters a pat, jostling the newly-assimilated young man, and further disorienting him.

"You'll get used to it after a while." She chuckled. "Remember, dear hero, that should you truly wish to avoid last night's consequences, then you need to work on your etiquette."

Jan 2025 - Backstage Tour (Public Release)

It was a dream come true.

Peggy had fantasized about this so many times. She'd managed to snag the tickets before the scalpers did, and with the backstage tour bonus too! She'd earned it. Those twitch donations egging her to chomp an entire watermelon on stream had really paid off. Now, she was going to see her favourite K-Pop group, one she had loved ever since she was a teen.

Peggy's energy was at maximum. She was practically shaking. The bouncers stayed where they were as she flashed her backstage pass and waddled past them. What would she say? That she was so happy to meet them? That she had all of her merch? She would just have to go for it, use that Peggy Power! This was gonna be a meeting to remember!

February Update

Ahoy, me hearties.
As you might have seen, I've just uploaded the entirety of Jak55's series so far. Access to view and to download the full quality versions are available to all subscribers. Yes, even free members.

February's Sequence will be started soon after I've finished another commission or two. Still working on ideas for Monica and her various indulgences.

Increases to rent and other things have forced me to up commission prices. I'm not a fan of being less accessible because of this, but it could lead to me needing to do less individual commissions each month if I want to make rent.

I like to write as much as I like to draw, and I'd like to get better at both. My goals right now are to ensure my income comes from multiple things. Comms, patreon, and stuff that I could potentially draw and sell. More to come on that last part.

More art will be on its way in due time.

Doodles - Monica's "Armour" (and redesign)

Just making sure I have this uploaded somewhere. The 1st image is Monica's old armour design. Subsequent images are the redesign I did recently.

First design had too much going on, and when I redid it, I decided to do it layer-by-layer. Clothing first, then plate armour.

What you see here is Monica's outfit of choice to wear when she's punishing those who disobey the library rules. Punishment usually takes the form of being chased around the castle in a game of cat-and-mouse until you either escape, or she catches you. Since Monica is very professional about her work and being a good host, she needs time to let off some steam. If she's wearing the armour, then she's definitely doing it for a show, and to indulge herself.

Nov 2024 - Pestering

Once again, the stars were right.

The Moon had shifted to its proper position, and the hooded crowd began to chant. The cultists' crazed leader began the incantation, causing the ground around the undisclosed location to rumble and shift.

The voices of several over-enthused fanatics began to reach a fever pitch. Declarations of love, devotion and subservience echoed across the hills, culminating in a sudden flash, accompanied by the indistinguishable ripping sound of reality bending. Many would find their minds coming apart at the seams. The crowd only celebrated.

What they had summoned was unknowable in biology and ancient in origin.

And it did not appreciate its private time being interrupted.

Oct 2024 - Sightings

There are the monsters of the Deep Woods, and then there are the cryptids.

Every so often, you'll get someone walking back into town, or getting a lift from a driver. Usually people assume it's a party-wipe scenario. Probably bought some bad gear, or a faulty weapon. Their story always begins with them getting separated from their group. Then getting attacked. Lone newbies are an easy target for opportunistic monsters. Easy meals.

Then they'll talk about her. Twenty feet tall. Towering. Glaring. Orichalcum deposits upon her arms and legs. An Orc, no doubt, but abnormally large. Abnormally hungry, and for monsters at that.

People scarcely believed the first few stories, but these things have a way of gaining notoriety. Some would try to get audio logs or further evidence, but the best that anyone has ever gotten is word-of-mouth. They say she talks gruffly, like any orc. Broken dialect, flat tone, and with a scarcely-changing expression of seriousness. She always has practical guidance to give, like a drake's weak spot, or the lesser-known edible foliage one can find in the Deep Woods.

They say that if you encounter her, it's because she could smell the inexperience on you. She is rough on monsters, but gentle on adventurers. If you encounter her, be sure to see if you can get a recording.
